Established November 2012, Authentic Caribbean Foundation is a registered nonprofit organization dedicated to providing education and training, health, community tourism and support services to children and adult with disability and aids within the Diaspora and the Caribbean by achieving a high level of development and sustainability helping to eliminate poverty. Authentic Caribbean Foundation will assist children in USA and the Caribbean community with education, special disability, health issues (aids & cancer), community exchange program, donating to special programs in the Diaspora through Caribbean awareness, charity, events and programs in the USA.

Our ProgramsAuthentic Caribbean Foundation has the following programs to assist children with disabilities both in the Diaspora and the Caribbean.
LEARNING DISABILITY PROGRAM The Authentic Caribbean Foundation Learning Disability Program is a project that provides assistance to families in the Diaspora who have a child with a disability and who are residents of the state of Massachusetts. The Learning Disability Program offers assistance to facilitate a comprehensive evaluation of these children ages 2 to 15 years old to ensure their cognitive, academic and social development. The program provides each selected school with a grant scholarship to a Diaspora child to help towards implementing an individual program that caters to that child’s overall development. PEDIATRIC DISABILITY EQUIPMENT SUPPLY PROGRAM The Pediatric Disability Equipment Supply Program is a project by Authentic Caribbean Foundation through which medical equipment and supplies are made available to families in the Diaspora and the Caribbean who are unable to obtain the equipment and supplies necessary for the care of their children with disabilities. We accept donation of new and gently used pediatric medical equipment from individuals and families nationwide who no longer require these equipment’s for one reason or another. These donated items are reconditioned, if required, and donated to families who are in need of such items both in the Diaspora as well as in the Caribbean. In addition, donated items are shipped to hospices, clinics and other not-for-profit organizations who provide care to children with disabilities in the Diaspora and the chosen Caribbean Islands. KIDS FOR ARTS PROGRAM The Authentic Caribbean Foundation Kids For Arts Program is a project that provides assistance in preserving the rich Caribbean folkloric arts and culture (dance, speech, performance) to kids in the Diaspora who are residents of the United States. The Kids For Arts Program offers assistance to facilitate a comprehensive evaluation of these children ages 2 to 18 years old to ensure their academic and social development. The program provides training in Caribbean folkloric creative art, speech and dance, working with individuals, groups and selected schools in preserving our rich arts for the overall child’s development. |
